About Body Language Physical Therapy

Body Language Physical Therapy is a healing center, a movement studio - dedicated to the exploration of the body & movement in the journey of being and becoming your best.

Your body provides you with information about yourself. Do you listen? Your body expresses yourself to others. What are you telling them?

Freedom to move is the freedom to express self, and to experience life to its fullest.

Body Language Physical Therapy creates a virtual space that will:

  • Inspire you to experience self thru your body.
  • Facilitate your experience of self being this magnificent body.
  • Facilitate  appreciating the body of knowledge you travel with daily.
  • Provide information on health and caring for the body.

For those who are injured or limited our goal is to be able to facilitate restoration, health and return of function. To regain optimal movement and maximize functionality.

For those who have achieved a high level of performance we can facilitate the next step… consistent performances, the next level of performance, thru postural and biomechanical refinement, zone training, balance. 'What got you this far can get you no farther' …we facilitate breaking the bounds of habit, adding to your vocabulary of movement, and increasing options and improving performance.

About the Director

“Life is pure adventure, and the sooner we realize that, the sooner we will be able to treat life as art.” – Maya Angelo

Lauren Goodell, MPT has always enjoyed sports and physical movement. In high school she was on the cross country running team and had an avid interest in bicycle racing. She persued bicycle racing at a local and national level through college and beyond. Over the past decade she continues to enjoy various other sports, including roller blading and scuba diving.

Lauren has been a licensed physical therapist for over 10 years. She received a BA from Skidmore College in Art History and Physical Education and her Masters at USC.

Lauren continues to pursue excellence by integrating up to date information from studies with many experts. Some of these include: John Barnes for Myofascia Release and Richard Jackson for both Pelvic Girdle biomechanics and treatment, and Lower Quadrant Functional Relationships. She has mentored with Wendy Burke & Cindy Baily for Kinesio Taping and with Chris Powers for current research and treatment of PFP. She has taken many continuing education couses including; Repetetive Strain Injuries with Peter Edgelow, and Back to Golf with Bud Ferrente among many other with whom she has studied.

Lauren is also a certified and licensed Dance of the Elements Trainer and has worked with Joseph Riggio, the developer of the MythoSelf® for over 7 years. The Mythogenic Self™ process has enriched her life in ways words could never describe. She will tell you that one of her most important and useful learnings has been that the dynamic ‘zone’ state as a baseline does not come from engaging in physical activity, it is the state from which you start before you even begin.
